change of venue.

I moved my blog to Wordpress. Wordpress allows me to upload posts from my phone, so I switched. Check out the new blogsite at: http://evancarlyle.wordpress.com

exhausted... but it was fun.

Last Sunday, I picked up a red Mustang convertible from the Hertz rental car desk at Sea-Tac and drove it to Eastern Washington for a week of camping and stock photography. It was exhausting... sunrise to sunset everyday. As a group we brought home almost 8,000 images of cars, seniors, sunsets, and a bunch of other stuff too. I feel like I'm finally recovering.... just in time for the next adventure. Thailand.

snapshots....

I spent the better part of today organizing and uploading slide shows to my snapshot page. The photos are a collection of everything. Some go way back, some I shot yesterday, and some were shot by other people. It's totally unprofessional. Check it out, you might find yourself in one or two.

a few weeks later....

I haven't been on here in a while. Been busy. Lot's going on these days. I've done a few shoots, went to a Mariner's game with my dad, edited hundreds of photos for Jetta Productions, and I've even given up caffeine.
I can't wait for the Thailand trip at the end of September. It started to feel real the day Angela got her passport. Really looking forward to it.

These photos are from the shoot I did last Saturday.
Thanks Linda and Teryl.

windows.

I hate strobes.
I much prefer natural light.
We lucked out when we moved into our new place. We have really excellent window light in the living room. And we, being photographers, are planning on using the hell out of it.
I gave it a go for the first time on Sunday. To set up the lighting before the model got there, I did a few test shots of myself.

This was the result.
